Lewis Hatrick seals win

For the second week on the trot Ongar hosted a Doddinghurst Olympic team, today saw the B team visit in a league game. From the start of the game Ongar in their familiar blue and white stripes, charged at the Doddinghurst goal and created a chance within a minute, a minute later, Nari had scored a breakaway solo goal. Within six minutes the blues were two up and it looked like it could be a big score line but then the Doddinghurst team put up a better fight and looked more organised, Ongar knocked the ball around very well, probably the best football they have ever played, James and Jacob in Midfield were outstanding and dominated the centre of the pitch. Halftime came 2-0Second half saw the blues come out strong and within the first few minutes again, Ongar had scored from a scramble in the box, making it three nil. Doddinghurst never gave up and replied with a similar goal coming from a free kick just inside the Ongar half. James replied with a cracking 20 yard shot, Lewis completed his hatrick, taking the scoreline to 6-1. Jacob and James again dominated the centre of the park, Jacob stole the show by making some impressive runs and creative passes. making him today's man of the match as well as todays Captain. Emblem B beat Intersport C 3-1 today but Ongar stay 3 points clear at the top of the table, league table before today's games.
