Bend it like Filly

Ongar Juniors faced Doddinghurst Olympic C in the second round of the Chelmsford youth Cup. The team in yellow started strong and for the first 10 minutes kept ongar at bay until Lewis found the net after a rebounded shot. Reid's diagonal ball started the playmaking of the second goal just before half time with Nari James and finally Lewis passing really well and makig it 2-0 before the break. Second half saw Jacob and Littlegunny come on and the game changed shape with Reid again working really hard in the middle of the park and pulling off a cracking shot that was a certain goal had it not hit the Doddinghurst defender. Jacob made it 3-0 in the middle of the second half Ongars defence was yet again solid with Kurtis and Ben stopping everything that was thrown at them. A foul on littlegunny gave Ben a chance at a freekick, which he relished and looped the ball in the net Beckham style. Final score Ongar 4 - 0 Doddinghurst Olympic C

Doddinghurst were a much improved team from our last encouner. great game played in great spirits by both teams and well behaved parents.
