Away to Brentwood Athletic

Ongar travelled to a new venue today, The Woodlands School. The pitch was in great condition despite the snow that was falling and the cold wind. Ongar started and were immediately under attack, a mix up in defence saw Brentwood recieve a free kick in the Ongar box, requiring the defence to be strong with a wall and only gave a way a corner. 10 minutes into the game Nari opened the scoring with a great solo touch. The rest of the first half ongar were persistant in the attack and with Lewis scoring two, Jacob two and a fine left footed twenty yarder from Ben. making the half time score 6-0.
Second half Brentwood came out the second half as a stronger team and had some good spells of possession and came close to scoring, only to have the ball cleared off the line after beating the keeper. Ongar had a few good chances and only the Brentwood goal keeper kept the scoreline down. Jacob completed his hat trick taking the score to 7-0. Solid defence by Ben and Kurtis made it hard for the Brentwood team and for his efforts making Kurtis todays Man of the Match.
More photos from today are here

Man of Match: Kutis, for good covering and composure.
