Close game against Herrongate

Ongar Juniors hosted Herrongate this week and following a few dissapointing results the blues were determined to put on a good performance, with Joel not a available the blues had a change to their formation. Herrongate took the lead midway through the first half with a breakaway goal and only minutes later were awarded a penalty and went two up. The blues continued to fight and it seemed they had the belief that they could come back. Early in the second half Kurtis , broke free and slotted the ball past the herrongate kepper. Dispite a brave battle by the blues the boys in orange held on but failed have even a single shot in the second half due to a solid second half performance from the Ongar midfield and defence.

Littlegunny scoops Player of the year !

Littlegunny was awarded Managers Player of the year 2009 at the prestigious Ongar Juniors Football Presentation in the Marquee at Love lane. The Under 10's B team were all presented with a players trophy as well as receiving their League winners Shield and individual league winners trophies. Other winners were Lewis Snell for Golden Boot, Most Improved Player was Jacob Smith and Players Player went to Ben Hughes. Well done to all the boys.
