Billericay Town Colts FC 6.4.08

Today saw Ongar Juniors travel to Billericay to face Billericay Town Colts. On arrival at the ground the snow was about 2 inches deep and a frantic attempt to clear the pitch was being made by the Billericay team. The game went ahead despite not really being playable and within a few minutes Billericay were one up.moving the ball around proved difficult for both teams but the colts seemed to cope better, making their second and third goal quick quickly. Ongar never gave up and just before the end of the first half Nari slotted the ball past the Billericay keeper. After a mass of changing wet gloves and hats and for ben the keeper jackets and tops too. the second half got under way. The game was more even than in the first half but then Billericay scored 4 more times to make the finishing score 7-1.
Very poor conditions but Billericay moved the ball around well and deserved the win. well done to all the boys and off home for a nice warm bath.

Ongar Man of the Match :- Ben H. could have easily given up but carried on till the end.

Captain:- Jacob .
