Writtle Minors B (Away)

After a week without a game due to a waterlogged pitch this weeks encounter was with Writtle Minors B at the Writtle home ground. Ongar faced an onslought for the first 5 minutes not even getting the ball out of their own half. Keeper Ben H made a storming save early on after a great shot from the writtle striker.The Blues broke away late in the half with shots from Reed going close, Nari and Louis both hitting the woodwork. Second half started well with Louis opening the scoring with a break away solo goal. Ben and Owen Remained solid at the back and the ongar team only had to hang on for 5 minutes to bag the three points. The Writtle team didn't give up and eventually scored after the ball slipped from the keepers arms leaving an easy tap in for writtle.
