Blues come back

After weeks of postponed, games due to frozen or waterlogged pitches, the Ongar boys played Brentwood Sports C at Larkins playing fields. A slow start saw the Blues battling to keep the ball and this then led to a messy scramble in the Ongar box and a goal taking Ongar one down. This caused them to wake up and they started to play football, Jacob made some good moves down the right wing and a cross into the box led to a header by Reid making it all level at half time. A switch in the formation at half time bought Ongar out strong in the second half.
The game remained level until the Blues started playing some nice passing team football. Another change in the Ongar side bought on Henry for his first ever game. This seemed to break the deadlock. A pass from Jacob put Henry through and with his first touch smashed the ball past the Brentwood Keeper. A third from James and a final goal, although deflected, goes to Lewis making a comfortable win for Ongar Juniors B.

Final score Ongar 4 Brentwood Sports 1
Captain : Reed
Player of the week : Henry Hall, scored with his first touch and continued to look for a pass when ever he had the ball.
