Brentwood Sports B (Home)

This was difficult fixture for Owen as 7 of his classmates are in the Brentwood Sports B Team, a big loss in this game would have been devastating for him, Especially on the debut for his new white & Blue Nike Boots.
Ongar started on a defensive foot for the first 5 minutes of the game but Owen and Ben at the Back stayed solid giving nothing away to the Brentwood team. Half time came with the game goal less but Ongar had had their fair share of the chances.
Second half was much the same with a pretty even game, Ongar looked more likely to score than Brentwood, but when Brentwood did attack they were met with the solid Ongar defence.
Brentwood sports stole a goal 5 Min's from time with a good shot from their striker Sloman, after a missed Clearence from a corner.
No Shame in today's Performance.

Great Danes A (Away)

This fixture was played at the Great Danes club at Sawyers Hall Lane, on a rather sloped pitch with long grass, the game kicked off with most of the players having hats or gloves on as it was bitterly cold.
Half time arrived and the game was goalless.
Second Half and the game was quite steady until Great Danes went ahead. The parents of Ongar were not going to let them lose that easily and cheered the blues on. Great Danes put the ball in the net again but this time it was deemed handball. Much to the annoyance of the player that scored......No More said.
The Danes went 2-0 up and the game seemed all but over until Owen scores his first ever competitive goal with a 20 Yard Half volley lobbing the Keeper and revitalizing the Ongar team, only to be stopped by the final whistle. Unlucky Boys

Played on remembrance day this fixture was due for kick off at 11:00 but the teams were asked to have a 2 minute silence before kick off, it was very nice to see every young lad there in total silence.............for once.

2nd Round Cup Game Hutton B (Away)

Following on from last weeks win against this team Ongar were quite confident of another victory. Owen Played in the left back position alongside Ben F on the right. The game was tight and Hutton got a scrambled goal in the last minute of the game and go through to the next round.
